WT5 Show

3 min

On Tuesday evening, in the piazza of the Centre Pompidou in Paris, Renault made its mark with its wt5 show. Featuring the Renault 5 E-Tech electric, the staging was enhanced by the talent of emblematic French street-culture and contemporary art artists such as Cyril Lancelin and Sadeck Berrabah. For almost an hour, thousands of people saw a spectacular show combining dance and music in a colourful setting.

The event was marked by a striking choreography directed by Sadeck Berrabah. During 5 original scenes created around immersive sculptures by Cyril Lancelin, 250 dancers brilliantly embodied the retro-futuristic, pop and revolutionary spirit of Renault 5 E-Tech electric.

The harmony of the Garde Républicaine band brought the show to a grand finale with a rhythmic cover of Daft Punk's world-famous ‘Instant Crush’, leaving a lasting impression on all those present.

After this extraordinary show, the public had the opportunity to discover Cyril Lancelin's sculptures in the colours of Renault 5 E-Tech electric and to visit a dedicated R5 exhibition at the Forum du Centre Pompidou.

The ‘what the five show’ - designed for Renault global marketing by PublicisLive Paris, Publicis Conseil and Razorfish - is the first in a series of events organised to celebrate the new pop icon. The brand will be present at Roland-Garros from 20 May to 9 June, then will inaugurate ‘MAISON 5’, an ephemeral experience store in the heart of Paris in the 7th arrondissement, open from 15 June to 15 September. Featuring a rich program of artistic and cultural events, this unique venue will give visitors the chance to discover all the facets of Renault 5 E-Tech electric.

A powerful media campaign

The event was broadcast live on the TikTok Renault channel (1.3 million followers). All fans of the brand were able to follow the live show, hosted by renowned social journalist Peggy Frey. Renault's first live TikTok attracted 188.6K unique visitors and over 210K likes. The video lasted 1 hour and generated 205.9K total impressions.
